Basic level hike, with an approximate duration of 3 hours where you will travel different paths that will take you to Alto de Güita, in the Sauces sector and the royals paths through the panoramic view of the Rocks of Suesca. This road is part of a project for the reconstruction of indigenous roads made by CAR; But previously it was a sacred path for the shamans who lived in the Güita path. Güita, comes from Güitaca, the owl woman, woman of wisdom, woman of knowledge, this deity of the Muisca tradition lives in this village, it is said that when the Owl sings at night, it is she, manifesting her presence.

Then you will visit the el Turpial a nature reserve, and a garden managed by the community, an initiative that arose in the Pandemic, with the intention of generating organic food. There will also be a walk through the native forest, you will pass over a suspension bridge and you will reach the viewpoint of the Rocks inside the Turpial.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It will be a mountain hike, therefore you must be in good physical condition. We will be between 2,700 meters above sea level and 2,900 meters above sea level. You must bring suitable clothing for the mountains (preferably waterproof fiber jacket and pants, cap, high-top hiking boots), change of clothes, sunscreen, water bottle, camera, personal documents. Minimum age 4 years old. If you wish, you can bring snacks or a picnic lunch to enjoy outdoors once the activity is over.

BIOSAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • Bring a mask that should always be on. And another spare in your personal kit.
  • You must arrive in your own vehicle.
  • Only one vehicle is received with a maximum of 4 people per tour.
  • Bring a water bottle (avoid single-use plastic). Preferably 2 liters of drinking water.
  • Remember to wash your hands.
  • Bring a roll of toilet paper and 2 red bags for biohazard waste.
  • The waste you generate must be returned and deposited in your place of origin.
