Punta Gallinas is the extreme north of Colombia and South America, an impressive natural setting of plateaus, dunes and rocky cliffs that emerge from the sea, hugging the beautiful Hondita Bay.
On this trip you will depart from Riohacha with a first stop at Cabo de la Vela, you will visit Uribía, Manaure and the salt complex.
Later you will discover Punta Gallinas, passing through the wind farm, Puerto Bolívar and the Bay of Portete. You will visit the Taroa Dunes and the lighthouse from which you can see the sunset.
Before finishing the trip you will get to know Bahía Hondita and La Boquita beach.

Recommendations

Bring reusable bottle, razor, toiletries (brush and towel, soap and toothpaste; the latter two preferably biodegradable), sports shoes and sandals or beach shoes, 2 or 3 changes of clothing for warm weather, bathing suit and shorts, flashlight with extra batteries, sunscreen and suntan lotion, bug spray, sunglasses with a UV filter, sun hat, identity documents, personal medicine kit, light blanket and camera.

DAY 1
MANAURE AND THE CABO DE LA VELA

  • Reception in the city of Riohacha and departure for Cabo de la Vela.
  • Visit to Uribía, Manaure and the salt complex.
  • Lunch at the Cabo de la Vela.
  • Visit to the Pilón de Azúcar beach and sunset at the Lighthouse.
  • Dinner and chinchorro accommodation.

DAY 2
BAHIA HONDA AND BAHIA HONDITA

  • Breakfast
  • Departure for Punta Gallinas, passing through the wind farm, Puerto Bolívar and the Bay of Portete.
  • Lunch in Bahia honda.
  • Visit to the Dunes, the Taroa beach and the Punta Gallinas lighthouse
  • Dinner and accommodation in chinchorro in Punta Gallinas

DAY 3
URIBIA AND RIOHACHA

  • Breakfast
  • Departure for Uribía passing by boat through Bahía Hondita.
  • Visit to La Boquita beach
  • Lunch in Uribía.
  • Departure for Riohacha
  • End of the program
