Travel to Panguí in Nuquí, explore its beautiful beaches, rivers, savor the traditional gastronomic of the Pacific. You will visit the Arusi community, thermal wells, share with the locals and discover with them the natural spectacle of whale watching. Immerse yourself in the nature and biodiversity of the territory.

Day 1 - Arrival in Panguí: upon your arrival in Nuquí, a guide from the inn will be waiting for you at the airport, with whom you will take a tour of the urban area, visit an educational institution (Babillas conservation project) (Afro and indigenous artisans). Then you will take a public boat at 13:00, towards the township of Panguí, a small town located 20 minutes from Nuquí, facing the best beaches on the Pacific coast of Choco. Upon arrival at the Posada you will enjoy a delicious lunch of the gastronomy of the Pacific. After lunch, the afternoon will be your best ally to rest and enjoy the sunset and landscapes in front of the inn.

Day 2- Whale watching and experience with communities: after breakfast you will take a boat trip to Cabo Corriente one of the best places to do whale watching (remember the season starts in July and ends in mid-October), after the sighting you will arrive at the Arusí community, where you will have a delicious lunch of ancient cuisine with the La Batea Restaurant, then you will visit the Termales community, where you can enjoy a delicious bath in the thermal wells. You will be back at 4pm. (minimum 4 pax.)

Day 3 - Ecological walk through the Chicuí ravine: after breakfast you will take a walk through the Quebrada, during the tour you can appreciate the diversity of species present in the place (birds, flowers, crops, etc.), on the way back you will have lunch in the community of Panguí, with the Women's Group Piloneras de Panguí, here you can buy indigenous consumer products (coconut oil, viche, vinete, coconut candy).

Day 4 - End of the trip: after breakfast, 07:00 am you will be at the point of the boat to take the public boat that will take you back to Nuquí at the tourist pier, to take the flight back home.

What does it include and what doesn't?


  • Transportation: round trip tickets by public boat on the Nuquí - Panguí - Nuquí route, leaving at 01:00 pm from Nuquí to Panguí and at 07:00 am from Panguí to Nuquí. If your flight arrives after 13:00 you must pay a private boat to get to Panguí, this transfer ranges between 250,000 and 300,000 COP per way. There is no public boat service on Sundays.
  • Accommodation: In cabins with two rooms, internal bathroom, double or triple accommodation according to reservation. They are located in the town of Panguí, on a private beach facing the sea, with a rainwater aqueduct, a diesel plant, rechargeable lamps, we have satellite internet for guests in the Panguí community.
  • Food:  three breakfasts three lunches and three dinners; the food base includes fish in different preparations, using roof herbs and locally harvested products such as coconut, pineapple, papaya, carambon, lemon, lulo, among others, allow us to have a healthy  diet. Menu for vegetarians and vegans.
  • Activities: Whale watching, visit to the Arusí community, thermal wells, ecological walks, lunch in the Panguí community.
  • Others: travel insurance. Accompaniment during the activities.

Not included

  • Transport: flight to arrive and leave Nuquí from your place of origin. We can manage your flights from Bogotá, Medellín or Quibdó. Transfers by express boat if you do not arrive in Nuquí before 12:45 on the first day or if your flight departs before 10:00 am on the last day.
  • Food: breakfast on the first day, lunch and dinner on the last day. Snacks and hydration.
  • Activities: activities not specified in the plan.
  • Others: expenses not stipulated. Personal expenses and tips. Nuquí entrance tax (15,000 COP). 12,000 thermal wells.


Travel Equipment

  • Sunscreen and lipstick (ideal if natural).

  • Towel for personal use to use during walks.
  • Small backpack to use during walks.
  • Basic elements of personal hygiene.
  • Glasses or mask for snorkeling.
  • Documents of the traveler: passport, identity card or citizenship card, military passbook and medical insurance card.

Travel clothes

  • It is important to wear comfortable clothing, preferably light-colored, quick-drying synthetic clothing. Long pants and long-sleeved shirts or shirts.
  • Shoes that can get wet, closed and comfortable for walking and easy to dry. It is recommended to wear rubber boots, or swamps, ideal for walking in humid jungle. You can also bring additional sandals or beach shoes to change when necessary.
  • Lightweight raincoat.
  • Dress or swimwear.
  • Hat or cap.
  • Bandana or pareo to protect you from the sun.


  • The cellular signal in Panguí is low, there is only receptivity for the Movistar operator and Claro. Get ready for total disconnection!
  • Apply the policies of the inn, led by your hostess Chachita.

How to arrive?

BY AIR: You can arrive via Medellín-Nuquí or Quibdó-Nuqui by the Satena airline, Aeronuqui, Aexpa or the charter flights of the San Germán Group.

BY SEA: You can get there from Buenaventura-Nuqui by boat. Keep in mind that there are specific hours.
