The extraordinary beauty of Caño Cristales comes from the changing colors of the "Macarena Clavijera", an aquatic plant that transforms depending on the conditions of its surroundings.

Its fantastic landscapes are adorned by lush vegetation and the rock formations on its streams. It is located at the PNN Serranía de la Macarena, where we can find the amazing biodiversity of the Amazon, Orinoquía, and the Andes regions.

Itinerary

DAY 1

To keep in mind: A plane ticket is not required as we will take a charter flight
Arrival to the La Macarena Municipality.
Introductory talk by environmental authorities (National Parks and Cormacarena).
Transfer to the hotel.
Visit to one of the following sites: Caño cristalitos y mirador, Caño piedra, or Río bajo lozada.
Lunch
Transfer to La Macarena.
Check-in at the hotel at 3:00 pm with all the biosafety protocols.
Dinner

DAY 2

Breakfast
Boat ride on the Guayabero River.
Ride to the Manantial del Cajuche.
Depending on National Parks and Cormacarena's assigned trails, we'll visit one of the following sites in Caño Cristales: Senderos los Pianos de Caño Cristales; Sendero Salto del Águila de Caños Cristales; Sendero los Pailones de Caño Cristales; Sendero Caño escondido de Caño Cristales.
We'll have lunch at the site.
Transfer to la Macarena
Parrandón llanero (traditional music performance)
Regional culinary experience.
