In this journey through the Güejar river, raft down the river among the majestic, perfectly preserved native vegetation and discover an unparalleled landscape: birds and butterflies of all colors, paradisiacal waterfalls and gigantic rock formations.

The river contains some of the oldest rock formations on the planet because it comes from the Guyana Shield, which originates in Venezuela, crosses La Macarena and reaches Ecuador and Brazil. So imagine: you will travel through the great-great-grandfather of the world's forests!

The Güejar River rises in the Páramo de Sumapaz National Park, passes through Lejanías forming the Güejar Pools, passes through Mesetas and San Juan de Arama forming the Güejar River Canyon, goes through Vistahermosa in Piñalito and reaches Puerto Rico meta, where it rests in the Ariari River.

RAFTING ON THE GÜEJAR RIVER - DAY TRIP IN MESETAS

Itinerary

  • Breakfast and registration of visitors ( 08:00am-09:30 am )
  • Transfer to the embarkation point "El Limón" for the technical talk; start of the activity (9:30am-10:30 am).
  • Activities on the river in a 17 Km tour. We will enjoy the canyon and its rapids, we will make a stop at the "Titanic" where we take our first snack with local products, we will perform activities such as "chalequismo" and bird watching; we will visit different waterfalls and the valley of the fairies where we observe the falling drops of water in slow motion. After enjoying the canyon and its rapids we arrive at the ecotourism farm Recebera (02:00 pm).
  • Lunch (02:00 pm 03:00 pm)
  • Return to the main office in Mesetas Meta, (04:00 pm 05: 00 pm)
