La Piedra del Peñol is one of the most spectacular destinations around Medellín (2 hours far). The 200 meter high monolith can be climbed by a 740 step ladder. Enjoy breathtaking views of the magical surroundings full of green mountains and blue lakes. The town of Guatapé is famous for its church and its beautiful and colorful paintings that decorate the houses of the town.
