GÜEJAR CANYON, WATERFALL TOUR AND CHARCO AZUL: 3 DAYS IN MESETAS

Day 1.

WATERFALLS TOUR

• Breakfast (07:00 am - 80:00 am).
• Transfer to the Argentina sector in vans (08:00 am - 09:00 am).
• Hiking, recreational bathing, speleology and photography in Caracas, Pelton and El Santuario waterfalls, refreshment (09:00 am - 1:30:00 pm).
• Lunch (01:30 pm - 02:30 pm).
• Hiking and visit to the Cerro del bus viewpoint (02:30 pm - 04:00 pm).
• Return and end of activities (04:00 pm - 05:00 pm).
• Accommodation in cabins and dinner (06:00 PM).

Day 2. 

GÜEJAR CANYON

• Breakfast and check in for river activities (08:00am - 09:30 am).
• Transfer to the embarkation point "el limón"; technical talk, start of activity (09:30 am-10:30 am).
• Activities on the river in a 17 kilometers tour (rafting, stop at the Titanic where we take the first snack with products of the region; we perform activities such as chalequismo, bird watching, visit to different waterfalls that we find on the route; we will pass through the valley of the fairies where we observe the drops of water falling in slow motion; after enjoying the canyon and its rapids we arrive at the ecotourism farm Recebera (02:00 pm).
• Lunch (02:00 pm - 03:00 pm).
• Return to Mesetas and end of activities (04:00 pm - 05: 00 pm)

Day 3

With your Frontera Travel destination consultant, you will define which of the itineraries is more convenient for you and your travelmates. Our favorite, for active travelers, older than 12 years old and the ones that are looking to escape the crowds is Arenales´´ itinerary. Our recommendation if you are travelling with minors, or if you are looking for a soft adventure expirience is  Las Maravillas del Guejar (If you go on holidays or Sunday, you will find many people).

Some details about ARENALES: A trekking of  1:30 hours to reach the first waterfall. More experienced hikers can reach two more waterfalls. It is the least crowded trail of the region's attractions and the most recommended by Frontera Travel. This day get ready for a late lunch, type 2:30 pm. We'll bring you a good snack for the road.

Some details about MARAVILLAS DEL GUEJAR: It is the most popular destination in the area and traditionally the most visited. By car you reach the first pool and you do not need physical preparation. It is suitable with children from 5 years old. On weekdays it is highly recommended, for its landscape, incomparable waterfalls. Weekends, get ready to share with many people.

ITINERARY BETWEEN DECEMBER 20 AND MARCH 20

The day 2 and the day 3, the itinerary is the same.  The first day, the cascades tour is changed for  a wonderful plan that is only available in the dry season; Tubbing through the Cafre canyon (You may be interested in our tour of The THREE Cañones, ask your advisor. Only available in dry season).

In the morning, after breakfast we hike to a summer waterfall called La Cantada. We spent  the morning there. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we go to the Cafre canyon to do some tubbing.
