ALL ABOUT DESTINATIONS

Traditional Coffee and Cocoa Farm Hacienda Venecia

The Hacienda Venecia is one of the traditional coffee farms in Colombia. Today, with three accommodations of different categories, it is a pioneer in coffee experiences in Colombia and more recently in special coffee and Cacao experiences.

The Snow Peak National Natural Park and Ruiz Thermals

We will visit the Snow Peak of Ruiz, the tomb sector to learn about the paramo ecosystem. Once we return, we will walk a short trail to see different types of hummingbirds at Ruiz Thermals. Here we will have lunch and for those who want to  relax, can go in one of the thermal pools.

Villa Romelia

With one of the most complete collections of orchids in Colombia, in the middle of one of the most impressive mountainous landscapes in the region, your host will make us start or strengthen our relationship with the extraordinary plants.

Salamina Caldas

This heritage town, characterized by the art seen everywhere, located in the middle of the Caldas mountains, isolated and a little hidden. During the conflict, its population was victim of different armed groups. Today it is an emerging and a very strong destination.

San Felix Valley

You don't have to go to Valle del Cocora to see the palms up close in its maximum splendor, but you have to go to Valle San Felix, to see the palms up close in its natural habitat and in optimal state of conservation. We will also visit a palm reforestation project and have the opportunity to plant our own.

RESPONSABLE TOURISM

  • You support the initiative to restore the forest and the wax palm of the Valle region.
  • On our trips, we don't use single-use containers. We always refill our bottles, and we’ll provide you with one.
  • Our hiring policy goes from local to global. This means that for the quality we aim for, we prioritize hiring local people and businesses before multinational corporations or non-local investment companies. Local restaurants, transport providers, and guides will take care of you throughout your itinerary.
  • We promote local culture through responsible gastronomy, support for live traditional music groups, local rum experiences, visits to our heritage towns, and emerging destinations.
  • On this trip, you will directly impact between 5 and 7 local entrepreneurs.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Our tour contemplates places with different climates. Pack light clothing that you can vary according to the layers you need. In the coffee region you will need a jacket because of the temperature drops. In the snow you should layer up with 3 layers of clothing including a raincoat. Pack shoes with good grip, personal medication, documents, a water bottle, windbreaker, and a camera.
