The trip will start in Boyacá, hometown of cycling heroes like Nairo Quintana and Superman López, you will visit the colonial city of Villa de Leyva, a world heritage site.
Then you will make a car transfer to reach the Alto de Letras, the longest climb on earth, to overcome the central Andes and reach the coffee zone to spend a few days riding in a warm and beautiful atmosphere surrounded by palm wax plantations and colorful towns. The total number of days of driving is 8, the average distance is about 100 km and the amount of climbing is 2,000 meters.

Day 1
You will leave early in the morning to make a 3-hour car transfer to the city of Paipa (Boyacá). The tour for this day is one of our favorites, visiting the colonial city of Mongui, riding through green and lonely valleys and climbing the amazing Alto de Tobasia.

Day 2
You will start in the beautiful town of Tibasosa and soon you will be climbing the Alto del Crucero with 15 km at 5%, struggling to find the right pace. From then on you will go around Lake Tota enjoying a calm environment and the Andean landscape. After a long descent and visiting some small towns, you will climb the Alto de Curies, a hidden gem of cycling, to reach the Pantano de Vargas monument. After that, you'll do a very short climb before heading back to the hotel and soaking in a well-deserved hot tub.

Day 3
It's time to head west, to visit Combita, the birthplace of Nairo Quintana. After climbing the Alto del Sote, the backyard of Quintana, you will cross Villa de Leyva, a colonial town that always takes your breath away.

Day 4
Transfer by car from Villa de Leyva to Honda, expected time: 7 hours. You will arrive at Honda, a port city near the Magdalena River. The weather is warm and humid, perfect for resting well and spending time in the pool before the big day.
Day 5
The mythical, unique, incomparable, longest climb on earth: Alto de Letras. Alto de Letras is on the wish list of all cyclists, 80 km of pure asphalt and 3,200 meters of climbing. To reach Letras is a journey through the entire Colombian geography, starting in Mariquita at 300 meters above sea level and reaching the top in the moor at 3,700 masl.

The coffee zone is here! You will leave Manizales " the white city " and for the next few days the weather will be simply incredible.

Day 7
Colombian classic stage. You will visit the magical town of Salento, a colorful and cozy place full of coffee culture. Then you will go up through the Cocora Valley, home of the national tree; The wax palm. This place is powerful and remains a sanctuary for the local indigenous tribes.

You will go up to the Alto de Buena Vista, where you can witness the power of the Colombian mountains because there are some sections at 18-20%. You will stop at Café San Alberto to try a unique and premium cup of coffee while enjoying a beautiful landscape there. At the end you will have the transfer back by car.

Another classic Colombian stage. After an easy start to descend to the La Vieja river, you will climb a short wall in Piedras de Moler to enter the Valle del Cauca. The rest of the route will follow a moderate gradient, suitable for pushing hard after 8 days of pedaling in the land of " beetles ".
