On the waterfall tour you will visit two very special locations: Salto del Aeropuerto waterfall and El Chocolatal waterfall. You will be able to refresh yourself among natural pools and waterfalls in the midst of the dazzling native vegetation.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival at Bahia Solano. 

DAY 2

Whale watching

  • Whale watching (3 to 4 hours at sea)
  • Lunch in the community of Mecana 
  • Tour of the Mecana community and visit to the natural pool.
  • Return to the lodge

DAY 3

Waterfalls tour

  • Meeting in Bahia Solano
  • Transportation to Salto del Aeropuerto waterfall and time to enjoy the area.
  • Return to Bahia Solano and time for lunch (lunch not included in the tour).
  • Hike to Chocolatal waterfall and time to enjoy the area.
  • Return to Bahia Solano and end of the tour.

DAY 4

Departure to the airport. Return home and end of services.

What to Bring to Bahía Solano?

Travel Kit

  • Sunscreen and lip balm (ideal if natural). Bug spray.
  • Sunglasses with UV filter.
  • Binoculars if you like to observe nature Water bottle, thermos.
  • Personal towel to use during the hikes. Small backpack to use during the hikes. Basic personal hygiene items.
  • Goggles or mask for snorkeling.
  • Travel documents: passport, identity card or citizenship card, military passbook and medical insurance card.

Travel clothing

  • It is important to bring comfortable clothes, preferably synthetic, quick-drying, light-colored clothing. Long pants and long sleeve shirts or t-shirts. Water shoes, closed toe shoes, comfortable for walking and easy to dry. You can also bring extra sandals or beach shoes to change into when necessary.
  • Lightweight raincoat.
  • Swimsuit.
  • Hat or cap.
  • Scarf or sarong to protect you from the sun.
