ADVENTURE IN THE AMAZON: THE JUNGLE, LETICIA AND PUERTO NARIÑO - 5 NIGHTS

Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Vásquez Cobo Airport in Leticia, you will have a road transfer of 11 kilometers to a Natural Reserve. There, you will enjoy a typical Amazonian lunch featuring grilled fish. Afterward, the travel plan will be presented, the activity schedule will be reviewed, and you will take a short walk through the jungle to the tree cabins where you will spend the night.

After settling in and taking a short rest, a guide will take you on a nighttime jungle walk to discover the fascinating wildlife. For dinner, you will taste a delicious "Amazonian pizza" before returning to the treehouse to rest.

Day 2

The day will begin with coffee and fresh fruit before climbing to a platform located in the treetops, 35 meters high.

The course includes four observation platforms connected by a steel cable. The first platform is reached by climbing with the help of specialized equipment along a rope. The crossings between platforms are done via a “zip line,” allowing you to glide from tree to tree, and the final stretch is crossed via a suspension bridge. The descent from the last platform is done by rappelling. After this experience, you will enjoy a nutritious breakfast.

Later, you will set out on an expedition of approximately one hour to visit the settlement of an Indigenous family living on the banks of the Tacana River. After sharing time with them and having lunch, you will embark on a kayaking journey down the river. As the evening approaches, a suitable campsite will be set up where you will spend the night in hammocks. At night, you will have the opportunity to fish and observe the local wildlife.

Day 3

The day will be dedicated to following the course of the river, with a break for lunch along the way, until reaching a maloca, the traditional home of the Macuna ethnic group.

After a rest and time spent with the local inhabitants, you will take a walk of approximately 30 minutes to a house in the middle of the jungle, where you can relax and sleep comfortably.

Day 4

In the morning, you will walk back to Tanimboca to collect your belongings and then head to Leticia, where you will board a boat that will take you along the Amazon River to a Natural Reserve on the Peruvian riverside.

Access to the reserve will vary depending on the season: during the rainy season, entry is by canoe, while in the dry season, it requires a 45-minute hike through the jungle.

In this environment, you will enjoy the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon, with the chance to observe birds, monkeys, and other wildlife, as well as admire the majestic lotus flower (Victoria Regia) and the towering ceiba tree. You will also savor traditional regional dishes and participate in activities such as canoeing and jungle walks.

At nightfall, there will be an excursion to search for caimans, with the option to safely capture them, take photographs, and then release them. You will spend the night in this Natural Reserve.

Day 5

By mid-morning, you will navigate the Amazon River in search of pink and gray dolphins. Later, you will enjoy lunch on the Peruvian island of Santa Rosa.

In the afternoon, you will witness a spectacular natural event at Santander Park in Leticia, where hundreds of parrots return to the trees to sleep.

Later, a taxi transfer will take you to a Reserve, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable cabin beside a stream.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will head to Leticia, where you will have free time to explore the city. Available options include visiting the ethnographic museum or crossing into Tabatinga, Brazil.

At the scheduled time, a transfer will take you to the airport for your return flight. End of service
